It is becoming increasingly difficult (and now almost impossible) to produce drawings like that of a child. Those random (?), controlled lines coming out from an imaginative and creative mind of a child are a thing of the past. I am, however, able to find similar drawings from friends who have no interest in art whatsoever, and when they attempt to draw a picture of, say, a dog, my eyes widened at the similarities of their drawings to what I drew when I was a child. Don't get me wrong: In no way am I insulting their " lack of talent or ability" in drawing; in fact, I ask them to draw these pictures for me so that I could use them as references and go back to basics. I hope my so-called "study" of these drawings would help me discover a new way to draw though, kinda like a new perspective.
